Job Description

We are seeking a qualified professional to support a federal construction project in the Chicagoland area in a dual-capacity role as Quality Control Manager (QCM) and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO). The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing project quality assurance activities and managing site safety and health compliance in accordance with federal construction standards and contractual requirements.

• Employed by us as the prime contractor.
• Implement and oversee the USACE 3-Phase QC process (Preparatory, Initial Follow-Up).
• Manage and track submittals, testing, and documentation using RMS/QCS.
• Coordinate with USACE representatives and subcontractors to ensure contract compliance.

Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO):

• Present on site whenever work is being performed.
• Lead daily safety briefings and enforce EM 385-1-1 requirements.
• Prepare and review Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Designated on ENG 6282 as the site SSHO.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
• 5+ years of construction experience; at least 2 years in a QC Manager role.
• USACE CQM for Contractors certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 standards.
• OSHA 30 certification and current First Aid/CPR.
• Prior experience on USACE/NAVFAC projects strongly preferred.
