Role/Responsibilities
The GCP Data Engineering Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the operational management of data engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of data pipelines and infrastructure, while leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in maintaining / Enhancing data pipelines and Platform.
• Align / Enhance operational standards, best practices, and governance for GCP-based data solution Operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data engineering operations with business objectives.
• Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring tools.
• Continuously optimize data processing systems for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput and latency.
Experience:
• 12+ years in data engineering, with at least 3 years in an Operations leadership role.
• Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (Big Query, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes , data warehousing , and data modeling .
• Proficiency in SQL , Python , and frameworks, Data Governance, Power BI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Terraform , and Infrastructure as Code .
Soft Skills (Mandatory)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $88,000 per year
Pay Range Maximum: $180,400 per year

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
