Robert Half's retail client in Central NJ is looking for a Junior Package Designer/Production Designer for a long-term contract with the potential to convert full-time. This position is 5 days/week onsite.

Robert Half's retail client is seeking a highly focused and detail-oriented Packaging & Production Designer to join their creative team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about consumer trends, with a strong sense of fashion, color, and design aesthetics. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have hands-on experience in packaging design, and bring projects from concept to completion with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and produce innovative packaging solutions that align with consumer trends and brand guidelines.
• Work on a mix of packaging design and production design for major retail clients such as Target and Walmart.
• Develop creative concepts with a strong emphasis on prints, patterns, and intricate details.
• Collaborate with both junior and senior staff, sharing ideas and contributing to brainstorming sessions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and incorporate them into design work to create new and compelling visual styles.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion, maintaining a high level of detail and organization.
• Ensure all designs meet licensing requirements and packaging standards.
• Contribute to product design and trend forecasting with an eye for what resonates with target consumers.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in package and production design, with hands-on experience.
• Exceptional sense of fashion and color, with the ability to identify and create new trends.
• Proficiency in visual design and layout, with excellent attention to detail.
• Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of licensing requirements and experience with licensed products is a plus.
• Familiarity with consumer-focused retail packaging, particularly for major retailers like Target and Walmart.

Preferred Skills:

• Self-motivated with strong creative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with packaging and product design trends, including prints, patterns, and textures.
• Prior experience working on retail or licensing projects is advantageous .
