Overview:

The Logistics Manager oversees all warehousing, logistics, inventory control, and material management functions for federal government contracts. This role ensures full compliance with contractual requirements, federal regulations, safety standards, and internal policies. The Logistics Manager provides leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight for warehouse activities across one or multiple contract sites, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and mission-aligned performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Consistently anticipate and effectively solve unusual or complex problems by thoroughly analyzing their root causes and recognize key casual connections that others might miss.
  • Manage or direct work of multiple work groups in a manner that effectively delivers results to the government.
  • Independently set clear goals that help move property management efforts in the right direction.
  • Consistently provide insightful responses to government request in a timely manner to ensure the delivery of the highest quality products.
  • Consistently engage in open, direct, candid, constructive and regular exchanges of information between engagement team members and the government that ensures work activities are effective across teams and government.
  • Plans and coordinates the ordering, inventory, intake, and distribution of products, parts and accessories. Typical duties include:
  • Ensure adequate and timely distribution to attain appropriate warehouse efficiency and use.
  • Develop and implement customer service functions through physical distribution, production and traffic strategies.
  • Establish and execute policies, programs and procedures to support market delivery requirements.
  • Manage the ongoing intake and distribution functions.
  • Supports senior management in developing, implementing, and managing the quality assurance, environmental, health and safety (QAEHS) program.
  • Seeks, shares, and assists in institutionalizing best practices.
  • Works directly with process owners and program teams to drive continual process improvement projects to improve program delivery.
  • Works with internal customers, suppliers, external customers and program business leadership as needed to meet goals and communicate performance.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics management and management of people
  • Currently hold, or able to obtain, and maintain DHS fitness determination
  • Experience managing people, processes, and resources to meet the strategic priorities
  • Proven track record executing on plans to drive business outcomes
