Unbound Recovery, LLC was founded in 2021 to meet the rising need for evidenced-based treatment for individuals with disordered eating behaviors throughout Kansas. It is a privately-held outpatient treatment center focused on the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and compulsive overeating.

Unbound Recovery, LLC works closely with patients, their families, and health care professionals to create individualized and wrap around treatment plans for adolescents (10-17) and adults (18+). Our staff of licensed mental health professionals and registered dietitians is dedicated to meeting each patient exactly where they’re at and walking with them toward healing and lasting recovery.

About the Position:

We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide medical evaluations and ongoing medical monitoring for clients receiving eating disorder treatment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a collaborative setting and has experience or interest in treating adolescents and adults with complex medical and psychological needs. The position focuses both on medical stability and oversight, and psychiatric medication management.

Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) with relevant experience in medical stability and oversight are also welcome to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clinical responsibilities include evaluation and management of patients. Depending on location and availability of the hired applicant, there is flexibility for in-person and fully remote appointments.
  • Order and monitor lab work for higher-risk patients often on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure stability for continued outpatient care.
  • Educate patients and/or family about their lab results and impact on their recovery.
  • Participate in weekly case review with the provider team, including participation in level of care and medical stability assessments as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients' primary care providers and other care team members.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner, including chart notes and insurance claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Kansas Nurse Practitioner License (Required)

Skills

  • Experience working with eating disordered patients is preferred, but not required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations.

Job Type: Part-time with the potential for full-time, if desired

Weekly schedule:

  • Hired applicant will work with our team to establish availability for regular client sessions per week. Lab ordering and review, charting, etc. is flexible and can be completed remotely.
