Registered Dental Hygienist

Location: Ocean Isle Beach, NC

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Non-Exempt)

Schedule

Clinic Hours of Operation:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Sign-On Bonus: $6,000 (Paid in three increments over 12 months, with retention requirements)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join a mission-driven community health organization located in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering preventative oral health services to a diverse patient population, ranging from infants to seniors. Ideal for both experienced professionals and recent graduates passionate about community-focused dental care.

As a key member of an integrated care team, you will help improve health outcomes by offering comprehensive dental hygiene services, patient education, and support in maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver preventative care services including prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices individually or in groups.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Assist in developing and delivering oral health education initiatives.
• Support and mentor dental hygiene students during clinical rotations.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all infection control, OSHA, and sterilization protocols.
• If certified, administer local anesthesia under supervision.
• Assist chair-side during high patient volume periods or staff absences.
• Take dental impressions and prepare study models as needed.
• Participate in daily care huddles and patient case reviews.
• Maintain documentation logs and ensure compliance with all dental equipment maintenance and safety standards.

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program (new graduates welcome).
• Active North Carolina Dental Hygiene License .
• BLS Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Certification to administer local anesthesia (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus, but not required.
