Are you ready to take the next step in your career in a global environment? We’re looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join the Amer Sports Group Communications team in New York, USA.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in building and protecting Amer Sports’ reputation. You will join a team of communications professionals located in Helsinki, Finland and Shanghai, China, and collaborate closely with colleagues and leaders worldwide.

What you will be doing:

• Media strategy and execution: Contribute to creating media strategies and plans, and their implementation, to strengthen Amer Sports’ reputation
• Earned media relations in North America:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage media inquiries and draft responses.
  • Develop and pitch compelling story ideas to media.
• Media materials: Create and manage media kits, press releases, holding statements, and talking points.
• Executive profiling: Support interviews, media training, and social media presence for senior leaders.
• Monitoring and issues management: Participate in media and issues monitoring, crisis communication, and issues management.
• Content creation: Produce content for Amer Sports’ owned media channels.
• Collaborate with our communications agencies and other partners.
• Follow the operating and political environment in North America to anticipate and manage reputational risks.

What you need to succeed:

• 7+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations.
• Solid experience in working in an US-listed company and a global context.
• A degree in communications or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Proven track record in earned media relations in North America.
• Familiarity with crisis communication and issues management.
• Knowledge of social media and digital communications tools.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with proactive approach and hands-on execution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – you are a strong team player who thrives in a global environment. Confidence to work with senior leaders.
• Ability to travel as needed

A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is $140,000 - $180,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range reflects the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
