As a Store Manager at DuBois Book Store, you’ll be the face of the brand for students, alumni, and fans of Miami University . You’ll lead a passionate team that celebrates RedHawk pride every day—helping families find the perfect gift, students grab game-day gear, and alumni re-live their favorite campus memories.

We’re looking for a hands-on leader who builds community, fosters growth, and thrives in a fun retail environment. You’ll train and inspire your team, create a welcoming store experience, and play a key role in keeping the long-standing DuBois tradition alive in Oxford.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience

Performance Bonuses: Opportunities for performance-based bonuses

Schedule: Full-time, 45 hours per week, including weekends or event days as needed

What You’ll Do

● Lead, coach, and motivate a retail team to deliver an outstanding customer experience

● Recruit, hire, and train new team members for in-store and E-commerce operations

● Manage merchandising, inventory, and daily store operations

● Create a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages growth and collaboration

● Monitor sales performance, and create employee schedules

● Ensure operational excellence in both in-store and online sales channels

● Build customer loyalty through authentic service and community engagement

● Partner with ownership on store initiatives, promotions, and marketing opportunities

● Availability for weekends, special events, and game days

What We’d Love to See

● 2–3 years of retail or related management experience

● Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills

● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

● Passion for customer service and team development

● Comfort with technology (POS systems, E-commerce tools, or inventory platforms like OpSuite)

● High school diploma or GED required; college experience preferred

Physical Requirements

● Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed

● Frequent standing, bending, and movement throughout shifts

● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and event days
