UPMC IT is seeking an analytical, collaborative, and adaptable individual to join our Enterprise Cardiology Application Team! This entry-level role is ideal for candidates passionate about healthcare technology and eager to grow within an energetic and growing IT environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting mission-critical cardiology applications, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and contributing to impactful projects under the guidance of experienced team members.
This job is Hybrid primarily remote work with o ccasional on-site visits for go-lives, end user support, etc.
Purpose:
Under the general direction of the management team and senior staff, this entry level position provides basic analytical and/or programming services, defining requirements, developing, and/or maintaining computer applications/systems, and providing services to meet client IT and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily application support for cardiology systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal disruption to end users.
Monitor and triage incoming support tickets using the enterprise ticketing system; respond to and resolve production support issues in accordance with established SLAs.
Collaborate with senior analysts to troubleshoot and escalate complex issues.
Assist in testing, documentation, and implementation of application upgrades, enhancements, and new features.
Participate in projects, contributing to planning, execution, and validation activities under the direction of senior team members.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of support activities, system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and application changes to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing across the team.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical systems outside of business hours (currently every 10 weeks, subject to change).
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in healthcare IT and cardiology systems.
