Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 5 × 8-Hour Shifts
Travel Pay Range: $65–$72/hour

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care during night shifts. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, the RN delivers skilled nursing care, pain and symptom management, and emotional support to patients and families in both home and facility-based settings, in alignment with hospice philosophy and professional nursing standards.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient case conferences as assigned
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and promptly respond to changes in patient condition
Deliver effective pain and symptom management to promote comfort and quality of life
Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, caregivers, and care team members
Provide compassionate, individualized care consistent with hospice principles
Notify appropriate providers of significant clinical changes
Complete patient admissions and ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation
Maintain clear narrative documentation reflecting skilled nursing interventions, patient education, and caregiver response
Obtain, clarify, and follow physician orders related to patient care
Ensure all admission documentation is completed by 9:00 AM on the next business day
Adhere to professional nursing standards and organizational hospice policies and procedures
Educate patients, families, and facility staff regarding hospice services and scope of care
Implement and manage individualized Plans of Care in compliance with federal and state regulations
Supervise Hospice Aides at least every 14 days per regulatory guidelines
Assist with staff orientation and mentoring as requested
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Required:
Active, unrestricted Massachusetts RN license
Minimum 2 years of hospice RN case management experience
Hospice home care experience
Successful completion of pre-employment medication competency assessment
Preferred:
IV Certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Strong computer skills and proficiency with clinical documentation systems
